LEONORA
IN DEVELOPMENT
LEONORA is a piece inspired by the life and works of Surrealist artist and writer Leonora Carrington (1917-2011).
Leonora was expelled from convent school (twice); fled to Paris to pursue Surrealism; and escaped a mental institution, her family, and the Second World War to build a new life in Mexico. Her work has a radical ecofeminist spirit and a pervasive, provocative sense of humour. This is our take on her life, her art, and her message.
